Straight Theater demolished
Before its demolition the Straight Theater had housed concerts featuring Janis Joplin and other famous bands of the early rock 'n roll era.
The 1981 demolition of the Straight Theater, once the Haight Street Movie Theater, drew a large crowd to witness the end of the historic structure.
