"United For Iran" (artists Keyvan Shovir and Shaghayegh Cyrous) painted a mural in Clarion Alley behind a sliding metal gate, aptly representing the jail in which the women depicted were then held. Since its original painting, half of these women have been freed, but half remain behind bars, prisoners of conscience held by the Iranian theocratic regime. This mural also represents a decades-long history of Iranian activist solidarity in San Francisco.
