South Park Café was created in 1985 by Catherine Allswang a French woman who had previous successful restaurants in Paris and San Francisco. She then brought in Bob Voorhees as a financial partner to whom she sold out to when she moved back to Paris in 1989 where she continued to create other successful restaurants.
