The Straight Theater at Haight and Cole Streets in 1978, a year before its demolition.

Before its demolition the Straight Theater had housed concerts featuring Janis Joplin and other famous bands of the early rock 'n roll era.
The Haight Theater was closed in 1964 after over fifty years as a movie house.
